My degree in sociology has provided me with a diverse skill set and valuable experiences that have prepared me for this exciting transition.
I began my professional journey as a Campus Life Program Assistant at LSU, where I played an integral role in organizing and executing an array of university-wide events, from Welcome Week to Mardi Gras Mambo. This hands-on experience allowed me to better understand event logistics, audience engagement strategies, and the art of creating immersive experiences. Building upon this foundation, I transitioned into the role of Academic Counselor, where I leveraged my organizational ability and strategic thinking to provide comprehensive support to a caseload of about 315 students. I increased appointment attendance by 62% within two months through meticulous planning and data-driven analysis, highlighting my ability to translate insights into actionable strategies that drive tangible results.
Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have actively sought leadership opportunities and extracurricular activities that have deepened my passion for event management and experiential marketing. As the Parade Committee Chair for the LSU Homecoming Student Committee, I honed my skills in event logistics and strategic planning, while my role as the Service Chair for Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity enabled me to develop innovative leadership programs and spearhead volunteer initiatives.
